1st Day: Fes – Middle Atlas – Merzouga Desert – Camel trek and overnight in the Berber tent

We will start our Sahara Desert tour from Fes towards the area of the Middle Atlas, crossing the Cedar forest of Azrou until we reach Midelt.

Next, we will be crossing the Tizin Tlghamt mountain pass, before driving through the magnificent Ziz gorges. After taking in all the green scenery of the High Atlas plateau, the landscape, we will start shifting towards more of a desert atmosphere, and that’s how you’ll know we’re approaching Errachidia city. After passing by the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani, we will finally arrive at Merzouga town where you will receive a warm desert-style welcome. Finally, you will get to mount a camel and ride it through the majestic desert dunes during the sunset, before arriving at the desert camp where you will spend the night. At the camp, you will have dinner accompanied by a fun time with Berber music and dance.

2nd Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

This morning you will be woken up by your desert guide in order to watch the early morning sun deposit its first rays on the desert dunes, in a scene that can only be described as heavenly. After this, we will again ride the camels back to Merzouga, on a scenic trip through the Erg Chebbi dunes.

We will have breakfast at a traditional Riad in the town, then we will leave the desert to our next destination: Dades Valley. On our way there, we will first stop at Rissani town to pay a visit to the traditional marketplace. Then we will visit Erfoud to discover the local fossilized marble workshops. Following that, we will reach the gorgeous Todra gorges, which are considered to be Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorges. We will have lunch and explore the beauty of the location before finally continuing to the Dades valley. You will get to enjoy the rocky landscape and the scattered sandcastles surrounding the valley, then you will have dinner and spend the night at a luxury hotel.

3rd Day: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

This next day, you will have breakfast at the hotel, after which we will begin journeying through the Road of The Thousand Kasbahs. This exciting road gets its name from being full of abandoned Kasbahs and sandcastles all over, which means we will get plenty of photo opportunities. After that, we will be driving through the beautiful Valley of Roses to then reach the cinematic Ouarzazate city.

Next, we will get to the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is perhaps the most important historical Kasbah in Morocco. It was built under the order of Pacha Glaoui, who was an important ruler of the region back during the early 20th century. Today, the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is a UNESCO world heritage site and is used as the backdrop of many international historical movies. Finally, we will head to Marrakech city through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying their green scenery and mountainous landscape. We will cross the famous Tizin Tichka mountain pass where we can stop to get some panoramic photos, before finally arriving at Marrakech.
